Shoot in landscape orientation can add variety to your Portraits portfolio...
Try to use properties such as chairs and windows and frame your object nicely!

I just started learning photography on 2007 with my prosumer Panasonic FZ-8
And after 1.5 years using that camera, I moved to Nikon D90 which I am using it until today... For me, Nikon is the best because it handled very comfortable in my hand, and promising a huge range of outstanding lenses. Photography for me is a freedom to see the world with different angles. The limitation of photography is only in your imagination. My dream is not to become a professional photographer, but an amateur with professionals' skills.
